How to Become a Brow Technician

You’ve seen brow artists all over your Instagram feed and you’re thinking... How do I get into that? We don’t blame you. Becoming a brow technician is an amazing career choice, and at London Lash, we live solely to encourage people like you to take that leap! So, how DO you become a brow tech?

Different Eyebrow Treatments

First of all, you need to pick what treatments you want to offer. There are lots of different eyebrow treatments you can provide including Henna Brows, brow lamination and traditional tinting and waxing. Lots of brow artists will offer multiple different eyebrow services, so you don’t have to pick one to stick with forever! This being said, we recommend choosing the one you’re most drawn to start off with, and then once you’ve built up your confidence and skill set in that particular treatment, then you can take another course. You don’t want to overwhelm yourself!

Eyebrow Courses

Now you’ve decided which treatment you want to offer, it’s time to get booked on a course! At London Lash, we offer training courses with some of the best eyebrow brands on the market. You can take the InLei Brow Bomber course (brow lamination) which includes traditional tinting and shaping, or you can take the So Henna course which teaches you all things henna brows! The first half of the day will consist of theory, which we go super in-depth with, as we want you to be eyebrow scientists! Then in the second half of the one-day course, you will carry out the treatment on a model alongside the trainer, who will then award you with your certificate at the end of the day. That’s it - the brow world is your oyster!

Not sure which eyebrow course you want to take? Check out this Brow Bomber blog, and this So Henna blog to learn more about each treatment.

Brow Kits

At London Lash, when you take a brow training course, there is an option to purchase a brow henna or brow lamination kit (depending on which treatment you’re now qualified in!). Whilst it’s completely up to you whether you purchase a brow kit on the day or not, we always recommend buying the bundle, as it will save you a lot of money compared to buying all the products individually. It’s also important to purchase the products from the brand you have taken the course with, particularly with So Henna and InLei, as the training is specific to the manufacturing of the products. It’s also recommended to use products from one brand, as they have been tested to work together and can guarantee the best results.
