You Stocked Up On Eyelash Glue, Now What?
In the blink of an eye, Black Friday has been and gone. If you stocked up on eyelash extension glue, it’s a good time to really plan ahead and think about how you’re going to care for it to ensure it will still be working perfectly 4, 5, or even 6 months from now.
Lash glue has a 6 month shelf life from the date of production (DOP) which is printed on the bottom of the bottle. Make sure you only have what you can safely use within a 6 Month period (4 months, to be super safe!)
How Should You Store Eyelash Extension Glue?
Any eyelash extension glue should be stored in an airtight container, somewhere cool and dry, away from sources of heat and direct sunlight. What does all of that mean? Well, an airtight container doesn't have to be a fancy one from a lash supply store (though getting a product that's designed to do a specific job will always be your best move) it can literally be Tupperware. Add some rice to it for optimal moisture absorption.
A cool, dry place refers to a cupboard or drawer away from the windows and radiators - do not ever keep eyelash glue in the fridge once it’s been opened, as the condensation which will build up inside the bottle will cause the lash glue to polymerise in the bottle.
You can keep unopened bottles of eyelash extension glue in the fridge, but make sure it’s in an airtight container with lots of silica gel pouches or rice to keep it dry, and make sure you take it out to adjust to room temperature at least an hour before you need to use it.
You should also store it upright with the lid screwed on nice and tight so that it remains airtight.
How Long Does A Bottle of Lash Glue Last After Opening?
Eyelash extension glue can last for up to 2 months after opening, so make sure you make a note of the date you opened it so that you can keep track of this. The easiest way to do this is to stick a small piece of lash tape to the bottom of the bottle with the date that you opened it written on it.
To ensure optimal freshness, we’d recommend changing out your bottle of eyelash glue every 6 weeks, but it will still be perfectly fine to use at 8 weeks as long as it’s stored correctly.

What Do You Do if you Really REALLY Got Too Much Glue?
Within the first 14 days, you’re welcome to return the eyelash glue as long as it’s completely unopened - that means the aluminium pouch needs to be sealed, and the bottle still needs to be in its shrink wrapping. Any sign that the lash glue has been opened means that the return won’t be accepted for a refund, but if our customer service team is feeling extra lovely, they may just put the total for the glue onto a gift card for you…
Ideally you’ll not be overstocked if you followed the steps in this blog post, but we fully understand how easy it is to get carried away during Black Friday sales, just be sure to be a bit more restrained when it comes to purchasing eyelash extension glues as these have the shortest shelf-life and the most specific storage requirements!
