In a nutshell, Hybrid Lash Extensions combine Classic Lashes with Volume Lashes to create a textured, fluffy lash look that sits perfectly between natural and dramatic. Typically, a Hybrid lash set is considered a 50/50 mix of Classic eyelash extensions and Volume lash fans, but there are endless ways to customise hybrid eyelash looks based on your client’s desired style, eye shape, and natural lash condition.
If you’re new to hybrid eyelash extensions or want to understand when they’re best suited, we recommend reading these first:

Applying Hybrid lashes can be as simple or as detailed as you want. To keep things approachable, start with proven best-sellers. A classic combination is 0.15 Classic lashes paired with 0.07 Volume lashes, allowing you to create Volume fans up to 5D for a balanced, fluffy hybrid set.
If your client prefers a softer, more natural hybrid look, opt for 0.10 Classic lashes combined with 2D Volume lash fans. For clients who want a bolder, more dramatic hybrid eyelash style, try Mega Volume lash extensions in 0.05, creating fans up to 9D, and pair them with 0.20 Flat Lashes for added definition.
DID YOU KNOW? Flat Lashes are created by fusing two finer lashes together, giving the appearance of a thicker Classic lash extension with roughly half the weight. This makes them ideal for creating bold hybrid lash sets without compromising natural lash health.

If you already have an Eyelash Extension Glue you trust, you can absolutely use it for Hybrid lash extensions. All professional lash adhesives suitable for Classic and Volume lashes work perfectly for hybrid sets.
One thing to consider is application speed. Many Lash Techs apply Classic lashes faster than Volume lash fans, especially when they’re still building confidence with Volume techniques. In this case, you may benefit from keeping two lash glues on hand:
a slower-curing lash adhesive for Volume fans
a faster-drying lash glue for Classic lashes
You can also adjust your humidity and temperature levels to fine-tune glue performance throughout the treatment.
TOP TIP:
Start your Hybrid lash set by applying Classic lash extensions first. Then place a piece of tape over the completed Classic lashes to hold them back while applying Volume fans. This ensures even coverage and prevents lashes from sticking together.

When creating Hybrid eyelash extensions, most Lash Technicians use separate Tweezers for Classic and Volume lashes. If you don’t already have favourites, explore dedicated Classic Lash Tweezers here and Volume Lash Tweezers here to find what suits your technique best.
For a more streamlined kit, Multifunctional Tweezers are a great investment. They’re ideal for picking up Classic lashes and creating 2D Volume fans, and they also work beautifully with easy fan lashes, pre-made fans, and even very short lash lengths thanks to their fine precision tips.
A strong lash prep routine is essential for long-lasting hybrid eyelash extensions. Products like Lash Cleanser, lash shampoo, and eyelash Primer improve retention and show clients that you prioritise lash health and professionalism. No lash extension kit is complete without tape and under-eye patches, which protect the lower lashes and help you achieve clean, precise application.

If you’d prefer to skip the guesswork altogether, our kit tailored for hybrid lashes includes a curated selection of Classic lashes, Volume lashes, lash glue, tweezers, and prep products, making it the perfect all-in-one solution for mastering hybrid lash sets with confidence.
