If you’ve been offering Classic Lashes for a while now, it might be worth thinking about whether you’d like to expand your treatment list. With so many beauty treatments on the market already and more popping up all the time, it can be a difficult decision to make, not to mention the huge number of lash courses and brow courses on the market! So how do you pick?
A good place to start if you’re thinking about expanding your treatment list is to opt for beauty treatments that go hand in hand with one another. So if you’re already offering lash extensions, then it’s a good idea to offer brow treatments too. This way, you have the potential to attract new clients who would like brow treatments, and you also have the opportunity to get your regular lash clients in for brows as well – they already like you, they trust you, and they know how to get to you, which are often the reasons someone may be erring on the side of caution when it comes to booking in with you.
Since the late 2010s we’ve seen a rise in appreciation for thicker brows, and that trend is continuing to grow. Offering treatments like Brow Lamination to your clients is going to be a great option because they can be styled to be more bold or more natural, so can really appeal to those clients who come to you for bolder lashes or more natural lashes.
Offering beauty treatments that are versatile is always a good idea because it just means that you have a wider pool of potential clients. Whether they would like subtle looks or something more bold, you can please them by simply taking a lash course for Classic lash extensions, and a brow course for Brow Lamination. Two courses – tonnes of possibilities!
Let’s say you’ve had a client for a long time who’s always had Classic Lashes but one day they develop an allergy to the lash glue – it’s always sad to tell a client that they can no longer come to you for lash extensions (some will argue that they don’t mind and would rather take the risk but it’s far too dangerous, and highly likely that they’ll have a more severe reaction next time.)
Did You Know: It’s actually more common for a long-time lash client to experience an allergic reaction to eyelash extension glue than it is for a first-time client. This is because an allergy to cyanoacrylate is accumulative, which means that the body builds up a resistance to it over time. You can read more about allergic reactions and chemical burns in this blog post!
If you offer an alternative lash treatment such as a lash lift, it means that you can still keep them as a client, still give them the nice light lash look that they like, and you’re not putting them in any danger where cyanoacrylate allergies are concerned. Lifting their lashes with InLei® Lash Filler also means that their natural lashes will be nourished and much stronger as a result, with the treatment being repeated every 6 weeks for the best results.
We know the two examples above also count as ‘additional treatments’ but in this section we really just mean having other qualifications for the sake of having a bigger treatment list.
The obvious choice is to take an eyelash extension course for Russian Volume Lashes, as there is so much you can do with Volume Lashes and it will without a doubt get you more clients!
Like with Classic Lashes, there are a lot of different lash styles that you can achieve with Volume Lashes, which also means that you can appeal to a more diverse client base with varying preferences. The beauty of having qualifications in both Classic Lashes and Volume Lashes means that you can also offer Hybrid Lashes, which widens your reach to even more potential clients!
There’s no hard and fast rule about when or whether you should take additional lash courses, and there’s no pressure to expand your treatment list to include brow treatments like Brow Lamination or Henna Brows if lash extensions are the love of your life. That being said, it’s an easy way to expand your business and get to know even more clients whilst also adding impressive new certificates to your wall! If and when you do decide to expand your skill set, be sure to do your research to find the best lash courses and brow courses for you!
