What Are Russian Volume Lashes?

Russian Volume Lashes are created using individual lash extensions that have been formed into fans that are then applied to each of the individual natural lashes. This creates a fuller, more dramatic look than traditional lash extensions (often called Classic Lashes, or individual lashes). Eyelash extensions are almost exclusively made from synthetic fibres these days - in addition to them being vegan friendly, cruelty free and hypoallergenic as a result, it's also much easier to ensure that they are the right length, curl and thickness. Now, if you see lashes referred to as 'mink', 'silk' or 'cashmere' it's to differentiate their finishes from one another.

How Long Do Russian Volume Lashes Last?

As long as the correct pre-treatment and aftercare is carried out, lash extensions can last for the entire growth cycle of the natural lashes! We highly recommend your clients get regular infills every 3 weeks or so to keep those lashes looking full and fresh. Although it's important to keep in mind that each natural lash is on its own individual growth cycle.

Your clients should be gently cleaning their lashes daily with a cleanser like a lash shampoo to help prolong the life of their eyelash extensions after treatment. They should also avoid using oil-based products around their eye area like moisturisers and makeup. In addition to this, it's important to stress to your clients that they need to try to avoid rubbing or touching their eyes excessively as this can also cause their lash extensions to fall out prematurely

How Are Russian Volume Lashes Applied?

The application process for Russian Volume Lashes is similar to that of Classic lash extensions, but with a few key differences. After you have used some Lash Shampoo for an initial cleaning of your client's natural eyelashes, you'll then use Protein Remover Pads and Cleanser for an even deeper clean, and following up with Primer.

Next, you'll need to select the desired length, thickness, and curl of lash extensions that suit and enhance your client's best features, and place them on a Lash Palette. Using Volume Eyelash Tweezers, you'll then pick up 2 or more lash extensions in a lash fan, and dip them into your eyelash glue before attaching them to the natural lash.

The number of lash extensions used will depend on the desired look; for a more natural look, 2-3 lashes per lash fan are ideal, but anything up to 20D might be applied with extremely fine lashes, for a more dramatic look. Finally, apply Superbonder sealant to the lash glue bonds and brush out the lashes with a lash brush to ensure they are evenly distributed and fluffy.

How Long Does A Russian Volume Treatment Take?

Depending on the volume and the number of natural lashes the client has, creating a set of Russian Volume Lashes can take anywhere from 1.5 - 4 hours.

Russian Volume Lashes vs Classic Lash Extensions

When it comes to choosing the best type of eyelash extensions, there are many different options. Some people prefer classic and more natural-looking lash extensions, while others prefer the dramatic look of Russian Volume Lashes. There are advantages and disadvantages to each type of eyelash extension, depending on personal preferences and style.

Russian Volume Lashes tend to be longer and more dense than Classic lash extensions, which gives them a more eye-catching appearance. They also tend to last a little longer than Classic Lashes, typically making them a better choice for those with busy schedules or who don't have time for frequent infill appointments. However, these larger lashes can sometimes be too much for some people's tastes. If your client seeks a more natural-looking set of lashes or wants something in between dramatic Russian Volume Lashes and subtle Classic Lashes, Hybrid Lashes may be just what they are looking for!

The Benefits of Russian Volume Lashes

Russian Volume Lashes are an increasingly popular beauty treatment that offers a wide range of benefits to those who choose to get them. Perhaps one of the most obvious benefits of these eyelash extensions is that they make your client's lashes look longer and fuller, giving them a more dramatic and striking appearance.

In addition, this treatment minimises the need for mascara and other makeup products, which will not only save your client time in the morning but also helps to protect their natural lashes from damage caused by traditional makeup application.

Another major benefit of Russian Volume Lashes is their long-lasting nature; depending on your client's lifestyle and how well they take care of them, they can last anywhere from two weeks to over a month.

Overall, if your client is looking for a simple way to enhance the appearance of their eyes without chemicals or tools like eyelash curlers, or copious amounts of mascara, there's no better choice than Russian Volume Lashes!
